Silver Birch class have been studying persuasive texts and learning to write persuasively, for or against a statement. This culminated in a debate which they presented to Rowan class.
The subject of debate was: Should Primary School Children Be Given Homework?
The class worked in teams - proposition and opposition to present their arguments with a chairperson to keep order! Rowan class had the chance to ask questions before everyone voted. The result was 11 in favour of homework and 11 against homework! Both teams were very persuasive and should be congratulated on their use of vocabulary, rhetorical questions, emotive language and confident speaking. Photos on our Meadowpark Facebook Page.
