It was a fabulous week as all the children from babies to nursery classes to the school pupils got involved in the Queen's Diamond Celebrations. The staff talked to the younger children to explain the significance of the event while the pupils researched into the history of the coronation and found out all the facts. There was lots of Art, Design and Technology; painting portraits, making flags and bunting and decorating crowns to wear at the "street"/garden parties. Predictably red, white and blue featured in the clothes that the children wore to the parties as well as the food they made and ate! Pupils represented Meadowpark at the Cricklade Town Jubilee Celebrations in Saxon's rest where they were involved in releasing the red/white/blue balloons in honour of 60 years of Her Majesty's reign.
