Babies
The Baby Nursery staff welcomed a number of new babies and helped them successfully settle in to nursery life. The babies enjoyed and responded to music so the staff extended this to decorating a board to represent the ditty of "five little frogs". The children have painted frogs and used different materials such as tissue paper to create the board. The babies have also enjoyed physical activities such as ball play and tunnel play.
Toddlers
The children have all started back after Christmas and have been talking about their presents. They have been dancing and trying to copy their carers movements. We also looked at flashcards and "had a go" at naming the objects. They have been playing with bubbles in the garden and made their own models out of construction toys such as Duplo and Popoids.
Lower Nursery
The children in classes 3H and 3A this week had fun exploring ICT using keyboards, phones and play tills. They also practised how to move spontaneously during their movement and space sessions both in the hall and outside.
Upper Nursery
Children in 4S and 4R have been investigating the effects of winter and were particularly fascinated when looking at icicles. The children made pictures of icicles on trees which they will create into one big tree picture for their wall.
