Nursery Curriculum

Meadowpark supports and promotes the entitlement of every baby and young child to develop and learn through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum:

For each child we aim to:

·         Provide a safe and stimulating environment

·         Provide resources which reflect diversity and are free from discrimination and stereotyping

·         Give generous care and attention through our ratio of qualified staff to children

·         Offer opportunities to join with other children and adults to play, work and learn

·         Plan opportunities that help to build on and extend what a child already knows and can do

·         Support and develop children’s self-esteem, confidence and independence

·         Allocate a Key Person who builds rapport and ensures the child enjoys and achieves

·         Involve and value parents as partners in helping each child to develop and learn effectively

Children's Development and Learning

There are six areas of Learning and Development together make up the skills, knowledge and experiences appropriate for babies and children as they grow, learn and develop.

Personal, Social and Emotional Development

Communication, Language and Literacy

Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy

Knowledge and Understanding of the World

Creative Development

At Meadowpark we recognise that children learn and develop in different ways and at different rates. We value all areas of learning and development equally and understand that they are inter-connected.
